| Copple Saves LSU Shreveport’s Soccer Program (8/28/2010) |
| While travelling to Batesville, Arkansas for their second matches of the year, a tire blowout on the highway led to a terrifying experience for the men and women’s soccer teams, as well as two cancelled games. After stopping for lunch, the soccer program continued northbound on highway 167 when the front left tire unexpectedly blew out, sending the Tri-City charter bus into the grass median and then into the oncoming traffic side of the highway. |

| Tyler, Tex.- The LSU Shreveport men’s and women’s soccer teams suffered a defeat at the hands of defending JUCO National Champion, Tyler Junior College, on Tuesday evening by a final tally of 6-1 in the women’s game and 4-0 for the men. |

| Trevor Stennett, reliever for the Alexandria Aces, has been one of two Aces chosen to participate in the Texas Collegiate League on July 5th in Victoria, Texas, at Riverside Stadium. Stennett has the second lowest ERA on the Aces staff to this point of the season. |

| This Saturday, July 3rd, Lester Jackson will hold a free tennis clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the tennis courts on the campus of LSUS. Jackson is the assistant coach on the LSUS women’s tennis team. The clinic for beginners will be from ages 6-16. |
