Shreveport, LA-The LSUS women’s soccer team (7-3-1 (1-1)) were defeated by the University of Mobile Lady Rams (5-5-1 (1-0)) on Sunday afternoon at the Swamp by a final score of 3-0.
The Lady Rams took a 1-0 lead at the 40th minute of the game with a goal from Missy Stovall, her 7th goal of the season. Moments later Stovall again scored at the 41st minute to extend the Mobile lead to 2-0.
LSUS answered with a goal from Rachael Knight, at the 44th minute, to trim the Mobile lead to 2-1 at the half.
Mobile added an insurance goal at the 88th minute, giving Stovall the hat trick and her 9th goal of the season.
The next game for Mobile will be on Monday, Oct. 12th, at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas at 2 p.m.
The Lady Pilots will continue GCAC play on Tuesday, Oct. 13th; in Jackson, Mississippi against the Belhaven Lady Blazers who currently have an overall record of 4-4-2 and 0-0-1 in GCAC play. The Lady Blazer’s only other conference game ended in a 2-2 tie in double overtime against the Spring Hill Lady Badgers. The kick off for Tuesday’s game is set for 1:30 p.m.
