Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced yesterday the 2009 Men's Soccer All Conference Team which included LSUS’own, Theron Lockett.
Lockett, a freshman, from Stafford, Virginia has done an exceptional job of patrolling for the Pilots defense in the first year of the program.
Lockett said this on being named to the GCAC All Conference Team, “It is an honor to be considered among some of the best players in our conference.”
Coach Jones is pleased to have a player like Lockett, “It is an honor to coach a young man like Theron. He is always the first one to practice and the last to leave.”
The LSUS Pilots and Lockett will play the Spring Hill Badgers today as the play-in game to the GCAC Tournament. The kick off is set for 1 p.m. in Jackson, MS.
