Robert W. FitzGerald
President
Bob is CEO of FitzGerald Contractors, Inc. He is serving as President of the Board for 2008-2010 and has been a member of the Foundation since 2000. He has been active in support of the LSUS Hibernia Pilots Golf Classic and the LSUS RiverBend Revue.
   
Phillip Rozeman, M.D.
Vice President
Phillip is a cardiologist and President of Cardiovascular Consultants and joined the Board in 2002. Phillip will serve as Vice President for 2008-2010. He is a 1977 LSUS graduate and was among the first graduates of the six-year medical program at LSUS and the LSU Health Sciences Center. He was named the LSUS Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for 2002 and the LSUS Institute for Human Services and Public Policy honored him in 2005 as Philanthropist of the Year. His wife, Alma, graduated with Philip from LSUS in 1977.
   
T. Brian Bond
Secretary/Treasurer
Brian is Vice President of External Affairs at AEP SWEPCO and joined the Board in 2004. Brian will serve as Secretary/Treasurer of the Board from 2008-2010. He is a 1982 LSUS graduate and was named LSUS Distinguished Alumnus of the Year in 2005. He has been instrumental and personally involved in notable campus projects including the LSUS Red River Watershed Management Institute, Red River Education and Research Park, and the LSUS Broadcast Journalism Program. In 2000, AEP SWEPCO established the AEP SWEPCO LaPREP Professorship.
   
B. Bruce Simon

Past President
Bruce is owner of Bruce Simon Construction. His ties with LSUS date back to 1967 when he was a part of the first entering freshman class in LSUS history. Bruce first joined the Board in 1986. He and his wife Melissa, a 1990 LSUS graduate, have both worked to grow the Foundation including chairing the Membership Committee and establishing the inaugural Chancellor’s Circle Campaign in 2001. In 2000, the Simon family, including Bruce’s mother, Barbara, and brother, Steve, established the Barbara and Elmer Simon Professorship for Excellence in Teaching. The professorship honors Bruce’s mother and father who were founding members of the Foundation.
   
Joe N. Averett, Jr.
Formerly President for Crystal Gas Storage, Inc., Joe has been a member of the Board since 1996. As President of the LSUS Foundation from 1998 – 2000, he provided leadership for the LSUS 30th Anniversary Campaign to Build Academic Endowment, the first major fundraising campaign in the history of LSUS. Joe is personally responsible for the largest donation in LSUS history when he arranged for El Paso Energy, the parent company of Crystal Gas Storage, to donate the Crystal Oil Building to the university in 1999. In addition, he, and his wife, Abby, established the Joe and Abby Averett Endowed Professorship in Business.

Robert Bowman

Robert is President of Bowman Systems and has served on the Board since 2003.  In 2002, he established the Bowman Systems Computer Science Scholarship and in 2003 he funded the purchase of lab equipment necessary to bring a noted chemist and cancer researcher to the LSUS campus.  Robert actively recruits LSUS graduates and currently employs more than 20 programmers who attended LSUS.

Joe B. Callaway, Jr.

Joe is Managing Director of Risk Services of Louisiana and has been a Foundation member since 1985.  He joined the Board in 1990 and was President from 1993 – 1995. Joe has served as Investment Committee Chair for several years working with the Foundation investment firm to ensure that the earnings provide maximum support for the University.

E.R. "Bo" Campbell

E. R. “Bo” Campbell is a native of Shreveport, La. He graduated from C. E. Byrd High School and LSU in Baton Rouge with a B.S. in Business. While at LSU, he played on LSU’s winning Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl football teams and LSU’s SEC Championship track team. Campbell currently serves as Chairman of Campbell Companies and serves on the Board of Directors of Capital One Financial Corporation. He is a former member of the LSU Board of Supervisors and has served on the LSU Athletic Council. He is currently President of the Tiger Athletic Foundation where he serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Campbell is married to Ingrid Rhinehart Campbell. He has three children and eight grandchildren. He and Ingrid are members of First United Methodist Church in Shreveport.

Earlene Coleman

Earlene is a local State Farm Agent and joined the Board in 2002.  In 2003 she established the Don and Earlene Coleman Red River Watershed Management Institute Professorship and in 2004 established the H. F. Sockrider, Jr. Endowed Scholarship for pre-law students.  In 2005 she joined area State Farm Agents to create the Northwest Louisiana State Farm Agents’ Scholarship.

James K. Elrod

One of only two chief executive officers in the history of Willis-Knighton Health System, Jim celebrated his 40th anniversary in 2005 as the Health System’s leader.  Jim served as President of the LSUS Foundation from 2002 – 2004 and as member of the board since 1995.  In 1999, he was named LSUS Pilot of the Year at RiverBend Revue. The Board of Directors of Willis-Knighton honored Jim by establishing the James K. Elrod Professorship in Healthcare Administration at LSUS in 2000.

Sam N. Gregorio

Sam N. Gregorio has practiced law in Shreveport, La. in his own firm since 1976. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. He received his J.D. degree from the LSU Law Center in Baton Rouge graduating Order of the Coif. Gregorio is a sustaining member of the American and Louisiana Associations for Justice, a member of the Louisiana Association of Consumer Advocates, and a member of the Northwest Louisiana Steering Committee for the LSU Law Center’s Capital Campaign. Prior to joining the Board, Gregorio served as an independent member of the Foundation’s Audit Committee. Gregorio is married to Jennifer Lawes Gregorio. They have two children.

Robert B. Hamm

Bob is District General Manager of Berg Mechanical, a division of Johnson Controls, Inc.  In addition to active leadership roles for many professional business organizations, Bob is President of the Strategic Action Council of Northwest Louisiana, Vice President of Alliance for Education, Past Chairman of the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Past Director of the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana and the United Way of Northwest Louisiana.  Bob is also a Member of the Board of Trustees at Centenary College, the Eighth Air Force Consultation Committee, and the Rotary Club of Shreveport.

O. Delton Harrison, Jr.

Delton is a founding member and president of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.  He has maintained leadership roles in the National Council of the Metropolitan Opera, the Shreveport Opera, the American Museum in Bath, the American Museum in England.  Delton has been an ongoing Sustaining Patron of the American Rose Society and was instrumental in the establishment of the “Friends of the American Rose Center.”

Bobbie Hicks

Bobbie is involved in many local community activities.  She first became a Foundation member in 1991 and joined the Board in 2005.  She and her late husband, Sam Hicks, have made significant contributions to campus faculty development programs, student scholarships, and library archive resources.  She is a major supporter of the LSUS Pioneer Heritage Center and the Authors in April program.  She is also a founding member of the LSUS Beacon Society.

Bobby E. Jelks

Bobby was a partner at KPMG for many years and recently joined Franks Management Company.  He served as Foundation President from 1995 – 1996 and has been on the Board since 1990.  He and several other employees of KPMG have sponsored the KMPG Accounting Scholarships at LSUS for almost 20 years and established the KPMG Endowed Scholarship Fund in 1998.  Bobby’s wife Mary is a 1988 graduate of the university.

Sidney Kent

Sidney is partner in Kent, Kent & Tingle.  He is an active community leader having served as Secretary of Live Oak Retirement Home, Executive Board Member of the Shreveport Symphony, President of B’nai Zion Congregation, President of the North Louisiana Jewish Federation, Chairman of the Shreveport Zoning Board of Appeals,  Member of the Citizens Bond Issue Committee, and Council Member for the Citizens Advisory Council.

George A. Khoury, Jr.

George is a retired petroleum engineer with Exxon-Mobil and joined the Board in 2001. He has given support to numerous campus programs including establishing an endowed professorship in the LSUS College of Sciences and an endowed professorship for the LSUS American Humanics Program.  He also established the George Khoury Endowed Scholarship Fund in the College of Education.  He has provided significant assistance to the LaPREP program as well as the USA Weightlifting Development Center at LSUS and he has funded the first marine research vessel to be utilized by the LSUS Red River Research Center.

Margaret W. Kinsey

Peggy received her degree from LSUS in 1984.  She was President of the LSUS Foundation from 1996 - 1998 and has served on the Board since 1990.  The LSUS Alumni Association honored her in 2000 with the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award.  Peggy and her husband Norman are founding members of the Foundation and were recognized as LSUS Pilots of the Year at RiverBend Revue in 2001.  The Kinseys were instrumental in establishing the LSUS American Studies Chair, the first chair for the campus, as well as establishing the Friends of the LSUS International Lincoln Center.

Harry E. McInnis, Jr.

Harry is President of McInnis Construction.  He served as Foundation President from 2000 – 2002 and has served on the Board since 1995.  He has provided support for numerous projects including the LSUS RiverBend Revue, Foundation memberships, and the LSUS Alumni Association Hibernia Pilots Classic.

Anil Nanda, M.D.

Dr. Anil Nanda is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.  Committed to the expansion of Higher education, Dr. Nanda has been the invited guest lecturer and visiting Professor at numerous national and international conferences.  Dr. Nanda is President of the Louisiana State and Southern Neurosurgical Societies.  In addition to his professional leadership, Dr. Nanda and his wife Laura chaired the LSUS Authors in April program and actively contribute their time and resources to Community Renewal and Sci-Port Discovery Center.

Sheriff Stephen W.  Prator
Steve is a veteran law officer who currently serves as Sheriff of Caddo Parish.  He is the president of the Board of Directors of the Northwest Law Enforcement District Commission on Law Enforcement and serves on the Southern Anti-Terrorist Regional Training Academy Board of Directors.  He is active in many state, national, and international professional organizations.  Steve is a graduate of LSUS, a former member of the LSUS Alumni Board of Directors and the 1999 LSUS Commencement speaker.

Harold Turner

Harold is President of Red River Bank and has been a Board member since 2001.  As a former executive vice president for Hibernia National Bank, he was instrumental in spearheading that bank’s sponsorship of numerous programs and initiatives on campus.

Michael Woods
President of Woods Operating, Inc., Mike is an LSUS graduate and has been a member of the Board since 1996. He has followed in his father, Dalton Woods’, footsteps by serving as president of the Foundation. Mike, his wife Tracie, and his mother Sugar, established the LSUS Dalton J. Woods Family Endowed Professorship in the College of Education and Human Development. Mike has been a member of the LSUS Alumni Association Board of Directors and the LSUS Athletic Committee. He is a former LSUS instructor in environmental law and now teaches a master’s level course, Nonprofit Governance and Decision Making. He also serves as chair of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, which oversees the operation of eight public universities, four of them in North Louisiana.
