Joe Callaway

Joe’s history of giving to LSUS goes back more than 20 years.  He has been a Foundation member since 1985.  In 1990 he joined the Board of Directors and served as President from 1993-1995.  Joe has served as Investment Committee Chair for so many years we can’t remember when he wasn’t the chair.  As chair he works with the Foundation investment firm to ensure that the earnings provide maximum support for the University.
In the past five years, Joe, as Chair of the Investment Committee, has spearheaded two complete revisions of the Foundation Investment Policy.  He has interviewed candidate proposals and recommended a new investment agency for the Foundation, and is currently taking on another complete revision of the Investment Policy.  Each process requires several meetings and HOURS of reviewing materials provided by the Investment firm.  Best of all, Joe does everything asked of him with a professional manner and a pleasant smile.

He does all of this and serves as Chairman and CEO of Risk Services of Louisiana.  And, Joe has recently taken on duties as a new board member for the Committee of 100.
