Hattiesburg, Miss. - LSUS' Tyrone Hamilton and Jared Stevenson were selected to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference men's basketball preseason all-conference team for the 2008-09 season, as announced today by the league's office.
Hamilton transferred to LSUS from Centenary College earlier this summer, and is expected to make an immediate impact after leading the Gents in scoring his sophomore and junior seasons. Hamilton scored 17 points per game in 2007-08, while shooting over 39% from the three-point line.
Stevenson is the lone returning starter off of last year's LSUS team that won a school record 31 games. Stevenson averaged seven points per game last season, while leading the GCAC in assists.
LSUS will open up the 2008-09 campaign on November 6 when they host Paul Quinn College at The Dock.
