The LSU Shreveport Debate Team is off to a solid start advancing all three teams to the elimination rounds and two teams to the semifinals in the first half of the IPDA National Championship Tournament held on the Sam Houston State University campus. The semifinal rounds are to start early on Friday, April 13.

LSUS sent three teams to participate in the "Team" side of the national tournament. The duo of Chelsea Anthony and Kyle Bickham finished the preliminary rounds as the top seed in the tournament earning a record of 4-0. LSUS' Kate Ryland and Hayden Wallace were the 2nd seeded team, also earning a 4-0 record in the preliminary rounds.
