LSUS Foundation to participate in Give For Good

April 25, 2014

The Community Foundation of North Louisiana is preparing to kick-off the first-ever 24-hour online giving day, and they have invited the LSUS Foundation to be a part of it! In total, 77 nonprofits will be participating in the Give for Good program. This exciting, online giving event will empower the people of North Louisiana to come together and raise as much money as possible in just 24 hours.

The event begins at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 and ends at 11:59 p.m.

The money raised by the LSUS Foundation on this day will go to help establish an emergency fund for LSUS students.  "Our goal in participating in Give for Good is to reach our students and allow the members of the LSUS community to be a part of something amazing," said Laura Perdue, executive director of the LSUS Foundation. "Financial aid covers tuition, but sometimes life happens.  Being able to offer a little help to our students when they need it most can make a big difference and keep them in college."

The minimum donation that can be made is $10 and anyone can participate by visiting and choosing the LSUS Foundation, or by stopping by the University Center on May 6th.

With your donation, as a thank you, you can be one of the first to receive LSUS gear in the new purple and gold school colors before the change.
