History of LSUS
Initially, a two-year college, LSUS has expanded into an internationally recognized institution with 25 undergraduate degree programs, a dozen master's degree programs, and more recently a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership Studies. Throughout its 50 years of existence, LSUS has experienced its fair share of challenges and hardships, but it has grown into an innovative leader for northwest Louisiana and is continuously listed in the top 50 in the nation for affordability. Taking a holistic approach to our timeline, we not only celebrate the school's incredible milestones and achievements but also showcase its challenges, student and faculty life, and the unique nuances that make LSUS what it is today.
