SHREVEPORT – Forty new freshmen members were inducted into the LSUS chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta earlier this month on the third floor of the Noel Memorial Library.
Alpha Lambda Delta celebrates excellence among first-year students and provides leadership and community service opportunities among other benefits.
It’s the largest induction class in the chapter’s four-year history, almost doubling the 2024 induction class as the organization gains steam on campus.
New members include Cesar Anguiano Ortiz, Lilli Ash, Drake Aymond, Barrett Bennefield, Jesy Castro-Torres, Isabella Chandler, Frankie Digiovianni, Heather Dinger, Madalyn English, Bridget Espino, Kaitlin Fabrycki, Jasmine Forck, Eric Garcia, Katie Garcia, WeiEn Greathouse, Abby Hiller, Connor Hostnick, August Houston, Harrison Howell, Carson Hyde, Nourmeen Jamhour, Analyce Jeane, William Kampert, Dylan Kennedy, Keagan Malone, Reagan Miller, Maisyn Moore, Hiba Musa, Gabbi Olague, Javarion Priest, Zach Robinson, Aurora Rodriguez, Sebastian Sereno, Maria Singleton, Kaitlin Smith, Jack Thompson, Eva Tillman, Yoshua Washington, Adb Al Aziz Nazar Zeidan, and Nezar Zeidan.
Organization officers who inducted these new members include president Ahmed Ghazawneh, vice president Mohammed Jamhour, secretary Tahja Lathan, treasurer Huzaifa Islam, social media chair Hamzah Musa, junior student advisor Majed Shawkha, and senior student advisor Taima Awad.
Staff advisors to the organization include Celeste Leeds-Laliberte (first-year experience librarian), Abigail McCoy (Director of Access and Discovery at the library) and Leah Widmeyer (assistant curator for Northwest Louisiana Archives).
