TEXARKANA, TEXAS. - Scott Neil and Jake Strachan of LSUS Men’s Soccer were named to the Red River Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, announced by the conference office on Sunday. The selection comes the day after Louisiana Christian and Hosuton-Victoria won the tournament on the women’s and men’s side, respectively.
The Pilots won their quarterfinal matchup in the RRAC Tournament against Southwest, 5-0. They then dropped their semifinal matchup against Houston-Victoria, 1-0, to conclude their season. Both Neil and Strachan played well for the Pilots over their two games in the tournament. Strachan was huge on the defensive end across the two matches in the tournament as the Pilots outscored their two opponents 5-1 and outshot them 27-17 as well. Neil was a huge distributor for the Pilots on the offensive side. His solid play was instrumental in the Pilots coming close to a championship match appearance.
The Pilots finished their season with an overall record of 12-7-1. They went 7-3-1 in conference play during the fifth year of Head Coach Phillip Bohn’s tenure in Shreveport.
