SHREVEPORT, LA. - LSUS Men’s Soccer’s Max Rose has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Rose was solid in goal all week for the Pilots as he was a key factor in the Pilots closing out the regular season with two huge wins over Southwest and Paul Quinn College. In total, he finished with three saves over the two matches, but was solid in limiting any scoring chances for both Southwest and Paul Quinn.
“I am happy for Max and his recognition by the conference for his play this past week,” said LSUS Head Coach Phillip Bohn. “It was an important week for us and we came away with two much needed wins.”
The Pilots now await the start of the 2021 RRAC Tournament. The Pilots will be either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the tournament as they await the conclusion of one more match from around the conference. Time and date of their first round game is yet to be determined.
